Adobe Equine Veterinary Services, Inc is currently seeking a full or part-time associate to join our 2 doctor ambulatory equine practice. For over 30 years we have provided the highest level of care to our equine patients. Our clientele consists primarily of pleasure horses, in addition to western performance, dressage, endurance, and hunter/jumpers. We are a fully ambulatory practice with a wide call range that see a wide variety of equines from backyard pets up to the top equine athletes.
Adobe Equine Veterinary Services is located in beautiful Santa Cruz, California. We are less than 10 minutes to the ocean, 30 minutes to the heart of Silicon Valley, and within an hour of an international airport. Santa Cruz is a sunny surf destination that offers amazing hiking, water sports, and a fun community to enjoy.
We are looking for someone who has great communication skills and is a team player. Someone who really takes the time to listen to our clients, some of whom have been with our practice for several decades. Duties include appointments 4-5 days a week and emergency on-call that is shared amongst associates. Your schedule can be adjusted according to your preference. We are open to partnership opportunities if the right candidate comes along.
Our practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, shock wave, power dentistry and an endoscope. Services provided include Preventative medicine, emergency medicine, Pro-Stride, PRP, acupuncture, and much more. Additionally, a fully equipped vehicle is provided.
While experience or internship training is preferred, new graduates are welcome to apply. We will mentor you as much, or as little, as you need to help ensure a successful start to the next chapter of your life. Applicants must be a graduate from an accredited veterinary degree program, passed the NAVLE exam and have a valid Driver's License.
Salary is commensurate with experience and production. Benefits include paid time off, 401k, AAEP and AVMA membership dues, flexible work schedules, and continuing education allowance. Base salary will start at 100k and can be salary only or a combination of base salary and production depending on your preference.
