BEACH! ER DVM Associate Position
Bradenton Veterinary Emergency
Looking for a good work and life balance while working with a wonderful staff that has great team work that is not corporate? Are you a new grad looking for an ER position that has mentorship and surgical experience? Our online reviews speak volumes and Bradenton Veterinary Emergency is looking to add a full time or part time ER veterinarian to our awesome team. We are located very close to the beautiful Gulf beaches on Anna Maria Island and Longboat key, so if you want to live where you vacation, this is the job for you! We have a flexible schedule with three other full-time veterinarians and can easily adapt for time off. The schedule (currently an average of 6 shifts per two weeks) allows for great use of your days for errands or fun activities such as kayaking, boating, beach, great restaurants, local nature preserves and farmers markets. We see a wide variety of cases and have specialists available for referral within a 25-45 minute drive. Our area also has a pet ambulance service that makes transfers to the family vets seamless! Bradenton Veterinary Emergency is located within DeSoto Animal Clinic so in essence it is a 24 hour facility without the hassle of a 24 hour hospital. We have the latest in-house IDEXX blood machines, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound, digital radiography with the ability to send out for specialist consult, fully equipped surgical suite, other equipment such as ten IV pumps, syringe pumps, and fantastic support staff. Pay is per shift and minimum salary is $110,000 (new grad). There is currently no production aspect which means no competition and staying late is not the norm. Part time benefits would need to be negotiated but full time are listed below: Benefits: 60% paid health insurance (Currently Blue Cross Blue Shield) Short term and long term disability policy paid 100% (able to use for maternity leave) CE allowance ($1500 yearly) PTO Professional Liability coverage Paid Licensing as required DEA license Membership dues (VECCS, AVMA, FVMA, etc) Equipment allowance ($300/year; books, scrubs, etc) VIN membership VetGirl Membership on request Discounted veterinary bills Simple IRA with 3% match AFLAC (available but not paid) Dental insurance (available but not paid)
