Parvin Animal Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their growing, fast paced small animal practice in Spanish Fort, Al.
About us: Parvin Animal Clinic is a well-established, drug free, state of the art veterinary practice in Spanish, Fort, Alabama; part of the Eastern Shore of Baldwin County. The location is established as a veterinary clinic in the 1990s and Dr. Parvin has been on site since 2001. Spanish Fort is located only 1 hour from Alabama's beautiful sugar sand beaches, 10 minutes to Mobile, Al. and 40 minutes to Pensacola, Fl.
Business hours are Monday-Friday, closed on weekends and all major holidays, except for boarding drop-off and pickup at designated times. We have a team of 10 plus caring individuals. Our facility boasts the latest equipment to perform a variety of services including DR digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, Bovie cautery, anesthetic monitoring, high speed dental equipment, Idexx in-house analyzers and paperless Avimark practice management software. We are a full service practice offering small animal medical and surgical services. We take pride in practicing excellent medicine and customer service. Skills and Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university; Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Alabama; professional attitude, behavior and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude; compassionate team player with the ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members; respect for team members, clients and their pets; who can uphold great reputation with clients; a commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Job Responsibilities: Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/ medical/ surgical/ dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort; Communicate to the client the diagnosis of the pet's problems; generate and present a treatment plan to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines, parasite prevention, and appropriate nutritional products; Maintain client /patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient; Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend continuing education meetings; Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public; Treat every client like family and each patient like your own.
