Ohio Valley Animal Clinic is in search of a full time associate veterinarian who prioritizes fulfillment in their job! We are a rapidly growing mixed animal practice in southeast Ohio. The position includes all three of our clinics located in Pomeroy, Wellston, and Athens, Ohio. Whether you're interested in small or mixed animal practice, Ohio Valley Animal Clinic may very well be the perfect fit for you. We maintain 3 separate clinics with state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate our desire to be well respected in our community. Diagnostic and surgical equipment includes digital radiography, Firefly videoscopes, Ibex portable ultrasound, electrocautery unit, Cardell surgical monitors, Heska IV pumps, complete Idexx in-house bloodwork stations, Cornerstone veterinary software/computer system, recovery cages with heat/oxygen, isoflurane gas anesthesia units, isolation units, and more importantly a passionate, friendly support staff. We are also offering embryo transfer services for large ruminants (and small ruminants in the future) as well as portable Ibex ultrasound for pregnancy checks and fetal sexing. Duties and responsibilities as one of our associate veterinarians include: working with the managing veterinarian and our veterinary support staff to establish and implement the policies that allow us to provide outstanding customer service and patient care, continually improving client communication and satisfaction, communicating compassionately and effectively with clients, performing routine surgical procedures on a daily basis, and seeing routine and sick animal appointments daily. Partnerships are considered for those veterinarians who show compassion and a desire to always be searching for improvement in themselves and their services. All experience levels are considered. Emergency services are NOT mandatory but are compensated if you decide to perform those services. Self-motivated, independent personality looking to advance his/her career. Willingness to work and provide a genuine concern about the productivity and profitability of the practice. Good people skills and bedside manners are a must. Mixed animal duties are a plus, but not required. Surgical skills are a must for routine procedures. Rotational on-call duties would be preferred, but not required. Most importantly you MUST be willing to have fun and enjoy your job. We love our veterinarians because they love their jobs!
