College of Veterinary Medicine at Long Island University (Post Campus) invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. The successful candidate must be able to promote LIU-CVM’s mission of enhancing veterinary medical education through excellence in teaching, research and service to a variety of stakeholders.
We are seeking academics with an active research program and expertise designing, developing, delivering and coordinating courses in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. Successful candidates will have a proven record of expertise in areas relevant to veterinary medicine such as anatomy, animal nutrition, epidemiology, immunology, infectious diseases, microscopic anatomy, morphologic pathology, parasitology, pharmacology, toxicology or veterinary pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing independent or collaborative research programs in a field that contributes to the mission of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Active engagement in curriculum development, identification or creation of innovative learning resources, and committee (such as admissions, curriculum, research, etc.) participation are expected.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a DVM or equivalent degree, PhD or other earned doctoral degree in biomedical sciences or related field and/or specialty board certification. The candidate will have a record of scholarly achievement as independent and/or collaborative researcher consistent with the appointed rank. The candidate will have a strong commitment to professional DVM and graduate student education, proven strength teaching in large and small group settings, good communication skills and to ability to promote a culture of diversity and inclusiveness.
